MORGAN FITZGERALD

Hello my name is Morgan! I am 18 years old and have a passion for art. Currently I have a YouTube channel which I film and edit all by myself showcase DIY's, tutorials, fashion, and more! On my own time I love to design logos, draw, and paint. In the future, I hope to become a graphic designer (print)! I am crazy about art. I started creating art since I was 3 years old and to this day have every single piece of art from when I was three in an overflowing 2 in binder.  I am attending the University of Cincinatti for the DAAP program. I have won many awards such as gold key and honorable mention from scholastics, first place at a tech prep showcase for film, and many more! I am enrolled in AP DMA and Yearbook at my high school. I hope you enjoy my artwork!

Why do I do art? I have asked myself this question many times. As a child my life was never dull or boring. I was known to be a very creative child, making art here and there. Little did I know that I would grow up to know that art is what I want to peruse. I create art because it is an outlet for my pain, my happiness, my emotions, and my creativity. I definitely think that in ways, art reflects who I am. Throughout my artwork, you can see my dedication towards art, my passion, my effort, and my interests. On average it takes me about a week to complete projects but sometimes it takes me longer to finish because I am known to be a “perfectionist”. I look for details or flaws that need to be fixed and make them better which I think is a great value when it comes to art.
I would describe my artwork as fresh and interesting. One my favorite styles of art is digital collage. Digital collage is a style of art where you “cut out” and collage different pictures to create one piece of art. I think digital collages are so unique and interesting to look at. That is why I decided my concentration pieces were going to be digital collages. To create my artwork I like to use Photoshop and Illustrator. My favorite is Illustrator because I feel as if it makes my work more “professional”. I would say my artwork is different from others because its shows a lot of detail and creativity/reflects my personality. My artistic styles and passion for art was definitely inspired by my sister Emma. Watching her artwork floral and her passion for art made me want to be like her. I would also say Pinterest sparks my ideas for my artwork too. There is a whole community of talented artists out there and I wish and hope to be like them through dedication and hard work. After high school, I will be attending UC DAAP college to major in Graphic Design.
